WRESTLING INFORMATION
Wrestling Style
Due to her small stature, she employs a lot of countering - which embodies the bulk of her slams. She uses her opponents' forward momentum to lift and throw them easier when they are most off-balance. Izumi is more of a defensive grappler, since she's always the underdog. She's always moving and squirming, wasting little effort to set anything up, which makes it very difficult for her opponents to really get a handle on her. Izumi's primary focus is taking people down to the ground, because that's where she excels thanks to her judo and grappling background. She will mix in some upper body striking (no kicks/knees) as well as minor use of aerials as well.
Alignment
Babyface
Gimmick
Izumi is the damsel in distress, aka an underdog largely thanks to her small size. That being said, she's also the youngest 6th dan black belt in judo, a second generation wrestler, and a descendant of the samurai--training in their ways. So she's not defenseless by any stretch of the imagination. While more defensive than offensive, she will bring the fight when circumstances warrant. Bright, friendly, and a little quirky/goofy 99% of the time, but can get dark when pushed hard enough. She has a huge heart, wears her emotions on her sleeve, and she's highly spiritual. "Izumi is like totally at calm with the universe," is what one person said to describe her. She is fiercely loyal and places high value in honor. She is focused, determined, and isn't afraid of a little blood or fighting dirty if the rules allow it.
Other Info
No preferred weapons, but gets pretty innovative when placed in ultraviolent situations. Vastly prefers standard rules, but finds herself more often than not in another ultraviolent deathmatch.
Strengths:
1) Judo/Mat Wrestling Mastery: Being the youngest ever 6th dan black belt in judo and a 2nd generation wrestler, Izumi's ground game is second to none. She's at home on the ground, so if someonehow you get out of one hold, she'll just transition right into another. This is the one area that Izumi is truly spectacular at.
2) Speed - Izumi is incredibly fast both on the mat and on her feet. She can change position, switch from move to move, and easily get out of most attempts at holds by her opponents. Plus she can dart around the ring and take you down with power.
3) Perpetual Motion - Izumi is always on the move. Everything she does is fast and fluid, without stopping at all to set anything up. Her entire repertoire is focused around this. It makes it very difficult for her opponents to slow her down much less get a hand on her. And while they're looking to use a rest hold, she's always fighting to escape.
4) Endurance - Due to her speed and the fact that she never slows down in anything she does, coupled with her small stature, Izumi has to have a huge amount of endurance. She can easily wrestle long matches at a breakneck rate, and withstand an enormous amount of punishment while still having some left over to finish the fight.
Weaknesses:
1) Emotions - Quite frankly, Izumi can sometimes let her emotions get the better of her, as she wears them on her sleeve. Whether it's anger, fear, trepidation, excitement, or anything else, her opponents can take advantage of them, and completely throw Izumi off her game.
2) Size - At 5'2" and 116 pounds, Izumi is a lot smaller than most women wrestlers. Her whole style and philosophy is centered around compensating for this, but the fact remains that she is going to take a ton of beatings. Even average sized women can launch her into the air quite a ways.
3) One-Dimensional Striker - While Izumi did pick up boxing along the way, and can pack some major punch in her Uraken, she is otherwise a very one-dimensional striker. She has neither power nor technique in her feet, knees, or elbows. Against a well rounded striker, Izumi can easily be overwhelmed. You won't even see her throw a headbutt every once in a while.
4) Predictable - Once you figure out how Izumi approaches every match, you can pretty easily predict what she's going to do next. While her repertoire is certainly extensive, there is very little variation to it. As a result, intelligent opponents may be able to guess her next move, and have a counter ready for it.
Finisher(s)
1. BUSHIDO! - Judo-Style Uranage - This is the real judo uranage, not the weak pro wrestling version ala the Rock Bottom. Izumi stands face to face with the opponent, slightly to their side. She tucks her head under the opponent's near arm, and reaches across the opponent's chest and around their neck with her near arm. At the same time, Izumi lifts the opponent up, turns 180 degrees and falls backwards, bringing the opponent over her and slamming them down on the back of their head and neck. Combined with her superior technique, Izumi snaps this off fast and fluid, with no delay to set it up. She can hit it from out of nowhere, and the speed at which she performs the throw equates to a match-ending impact.
2. Dragon Vice - Basically a standing arm triangle into STO into arm triangle submission; innovated by Izumi. Similar to osoto-gari throw into arm triangle choke.
Signature(s)
1. Rolling Tsunami - Rolling Olympic Hell 0
2. Blossom Bomber - Michinoku Driver II* (primarily used as a counter, but it's a game-changer for Izumi)
3. Bullet Rush - Spear (executed with speed, force, and technique, instead of overall body mass; like a bullet with big stopping power)

Bio
At 30 years of age, Izumi Sato has already been in the wrestling industry for well over a decade, primarily competing in KOKORO and its permanent off-shoot replacement KOKORO USA. As a teenager, she was happy-go-lucky and naive, which quickly made her an easy target for more experienced, more violent opponents. She took many beatings back then, and quickly learned just how much pain could be inflicted on her. But she never gave up, garnering the nickname "Pure Heart Warrior" given to her by the Japanese press.
Born to Ken'ichi Sato and Ume Kurosawa, a judo master and pro wrestler respectively, Izumi had plenty of support and guidance to keep her on the right path. She has worked diligently over the years, putting every spare second she had into her training - even surpassing her father in her judo prowess (currently a 6th dan black belt). On top of that, she has been training in the ways of her Samurai ancestors.
Her years of hard work and determination have made Izumi a prodigy in the ring. Her ground game is second to none. And while there have been many challenges thrown in her path, Izumi has overcome them all, now holding the top belt in KOKORO USA. She has even completely revamped her fighting style, reinventing it to maximize her effectiveness, using larger opponents' (which is pretty much everybody) own momentum against them.
While she continues to compete in KOKORO, Izumi returned home to Japan to compete in front of her countrymen; to prove that their faith in her was not unfounded. Misfortune struck, however, and Izumi was forced to wait in the wings for months in hopes of finally making her in-ring debut. When it never came, she returned to the US, and quickly signed with Girl Power Wrestling. There she scored a debut submission victory over Kalvaya Dreimore which lead to a brutal feud between the two. GPW closed its doors though, so Izumi was forced to look elsewhere. Enter The Pitt, where Izumi lost a highly controversial debut match against eventual Pitt Champion Valkyrie Lange. Izumi hoped to redeem herself against Lange after that, but fate had other ideas; namely Scarlett McCain.
McCain had a history of violence over the years. The good natured Izumi Sato saw a glimmer of hope in her though. She saw a woman who yearned deep down to be accepted by her peers, to change her life for the better. Some say it was a futile effort, but Izumi nevertheless worked diligently to try to help Scarlett. And for a while, it seemed to work. Though reluctantly, Scarlett gradually showed signs of changing. The Pure Heart Warrior's efforts were proving fruitful. But to make sure it wasn't just an illusion, she agreed to face Scarlett at Violent Resolutions; The Pitt's biggest show of the year. Sadly, fate was not on her side yet again, as the two women fought upon the top turnbuckle when McCain hit a death valley driver, dropping Izumi neck-first on the exposed concrete floor. Initial reports were that her injuries weren't that serious; that she'd only be out of action for a couple weeks. Then two weeks turned to four. One month turned to six.
Fortune favors the bold, they say; and Izumi Sato is back to full health and ready to pick up where she left off. Returning to in-ring action in The Pitt, Izumi was quickly targeted by Puma Rhyse, who thought she could throw the young woman around and mess with her head. Izumi even got a full on blood bath for her troubles, but ultimately defeated Puma at their Symphony of Destruction show, in a brutal and bloody clash that left Izumi covered in blood and needing a transfusion.
Izumi's been in a few places since then, clashing with Jacqueline Norton in Mystic Wrestling and participating in a 5 on 5 tag match in Perfect 10 Wrestling. She's also been clashing with Kira Izumi in NGIW - who wanted to turn her to his darkness. Izumi took several vicious beatings at his hands, but still relented, until her parents were brutally attacked and hospitalized before the promotion closed. The feud then crossed over into Union Battleground, where it saw its conclusion with Izumi unmasking Kira despite severe psychological turmoil.
She also feuded with Kijo in Destiny--another tough, violent opponent that pushed her farther emotionally and psychologically than even Kira. Izumi got some relief though when Destiny folded. Still, Kijo is at large and there's no telling when the Demon Queen could resume her attempted corruption of "the little samurai."
