1WM GLORY XXII
LIVE FROM BISON SPORTS ARENA IN FARGO, NORTH DAKOTA
SINGLES MATCH
“The Future of Joshi” Mai Suzuki vs. Megan Enders
“The Future of Joshi” Mai Suzuki vs. Megan Enders
Mai and Megan start off the match by locking up in the center of the ring. They push each other around until eventually Megan has Mai pushed into a corner. The referee is forced to make the two women break it up, after which Mai delivers a headbutt attempt at Megan. But Megan was slightly too far away and is quickly able to sidestep the move, spinning around and hitting Mai with a forearm to the back of her head. This angers the Japanese import who quickly charges at Megan. The two brawl like a couple of street cats before Megan is able to create some space between the two of them, hitting Mai with an elbow strike to the side of the head. Megan then quickly hits a bodyslam before following it up with a kneebar, hoping to diminish the usual quick maneuvering of Mai. She is able to keep it locked in for a while until Mai manages to use her other leg to break Megan’s hold, kicking Megan in the leg with her hee a couple of times until Megan releases.
Astrid: Megan and Mai seem to be pretty evenly matched here.
Catriona: You having something nice to say is a bit surprising. Who are you and what have you done with Asti?
Astrid: Oh shit… I said that out loud didn’t I?
Mai uses the ropes to get back up to her feet, staggering as she tries not to put weight on the leg that Megan had the kneebar locked in on. Megan charges forward, looking to take advantage of Mai’s situation. But she’s caught off guard when Mai uses that injured leg to deliver a big boot right to Megan’s chest.
Catriona: Ooh! I think that actually landed between the girls.
Mai sees an opening and takes it, repeating the headbutt attempt from earlier in the match… this time actually connecting. Megan staggers back, looking to be a bit dazed and confused when Mai attempts to hit her with a German suplex. But the injured leg can’t hold the weight of the two and buckles under Mai, causing the two to fall into a slump. Mai is the first to get up, using her fist to hit her knee slightly a few times before she limps over to Megan and pulls her up. Megan tries to hit Mai with a slap but Mai ducks underneath it and instead fires off a superkick, driving her foot into Megan’s chin. Megan falls to the mat like a pile of bricks and Mai limps over to the corner, being extremely careful as she climbs to the top. She then perches herself at the top, being extremely careful to not fall off before leaping off the top and hitting Falling Coconut (diving splash).

Torres: Here is your winner… MAI SUZUKI!
Catriona: I don’t know how Mai is able to stand on that leg. Megan had it all kinds of warped.
Astrid: Sometimes I really want to know how you process thoughts in that Scottish brain of yours.
Catriona: Just the same as your American one… just with a thicker accent.
Astrid: If I was Megan I would have snapped her leg.
Catriona: You mean attempt to.
IN RING RETURN MATCH
Marie Laurent vs. Tim Brody
Marie Laurent vs. Tim Brody
Marie looks none too pleased as she glares at her opponent Tim from across the ring. When the bells rings, the two meet in the center and Tim puts a hand out to shake… only to have the blonde Parisian slap it away before delivering an elbow strike. Tim stumbles back a few steps, looking up to see Marie lunging towards him. He sidesteps her, grabbing her by the arm and pulling her in close, quickly hitting her with a spinning belly to belly suplex before she has a chance to react. He pops back up to his feet and pulls Marie up as well. She tries to fight back, hitting Tim with a couple of chops in an attempt to create some space between them. But he grabs her by the wrist and quickly hits her with a snap suplex.

TH -- KICKOUT!!
Astrid: He’s going to have to do more if he wants to take out Marie. She quite reminds me a lot of myself back when I first started out in this business.
Catriona: I’ve seen the videos… you were pretty vicious. You’d have make quick work of Tim.
Astrid: Oi! Stop sucking up.
Tim looks a bit caught off guard, briefly arguing with the referee that it was a three count as he gets back up to his feet. This brief distraction was just long enough for Marie to get up to her feet and stand poised and ready to go, hitting Tim with a jumping knee strike and then a backstabber before he has a chance to turn around. While he is down on the mat, Marie quickly locks in an armbar. She wrenches it back more and more the longer the hold goes on. Eventually she releases the hold… but only after the referee notices that Tim has managed to get a foot under the bottom rope. Standing up, everyone can see how visibility angry she is. She tries to pull Tim up to his feet, but his weight proves to be too much for her and she is forced to stop and allow him to stand on his own. But the moment he’s back to a vertical base, Marie hits him with a superman punch before following it up with Model Kiss (hairflip DDT).
ONE…
TWO…
THREE!!
Torres: Here is your winner… MARIE LAURENT!
Astrid: Well I saw that outcome coming a mile away. That’s not the return that Brody was looking for. I think that he’s been away for too long. Maybe he should stay away.
Catriona: If Marie Laurent keeps this up… she probably will find herself in line for one of 1WM’s titles at some point.
Nina Stokes: Did you all enjoy your fun?
A few moments before the scene opens up. There’s no elaborate setting this time around. No large mirror. No director's chair. There’s simply a gym bench. Nina is seated on that bench, decked out in black Nike workout gear. A set of purple hand wraps cover up and protect her appendages.
Nina Stokes: Every soul in One Wrestle Movement had a short period of time to frolic and prance about as they pleased. But that time has now come to an end.
She tugs at the wrapping around her right hand and slowly begins to unravel it.
Nina Stokes: Very little within this sport stays the same for long. There have been some miniscule changes since I was last booked. A title change here and there. A couple of new faces. But none of those changes truly affects the bottom line. They affect the end goal.
The purple wrapping falls to the floor.
Nina Stokes: My Odyssey to the top of this company won’t be hindered. There will be challenges. There will be monsters in my path. And I will slay every single one of them.
Nina then begins to unwrap her left hand.
Nina Stokes: This is not a threat. And it’s hardly a warning. I’m simply telling you how it’s going to be. That way, there shouldn't be any bitching or excuses when it all comes to pass.
She quickly retrieves both hand wraps and stands to her feet. At this point, the camera begins to fade out.
TAG TEAM MATCH
A & M Worldwide (Alex Reeves and McKena Hardy) vs. Jess Anderson and Nicole Smoak
A & M Worldwide (Alex Reeves and McKena Hardy) vs. Jess Anderson and Nicole Smoak
This tag match is starting off with Smoak squaring off with McKenna Hardy, both women getting the crowd revved while they circle. Lock up in the middle, Hardy looks for the arm wringer and Smoak reverses into a hammerlock. Back and forth sequence commences until Smoak evades when Hardy goes for a headlock takedown, breaking free and shooting her toward the ropes. Hardy executes a roll to avoid a clothesline by Smoak, the fans getting excited as she gets the tag to Reeves who dives in and nails Hardy with a beautiful standing dropkick on Nicole. There's a quick cover.
One…
Two…kick out.
Reeves drags Smoak back up and looks for an Irish whip but Nicole manages a reversal, shooting Reeves into her team's corner and getting the tag to Anderson. Anderson is a ball of energy as she lays in with a series of corner knife edge chops and a kick to the midsection. Shining wizard in the corner! The crowd is hyped up as Anderson lines up to deliver her one handed bulldog, but they are all of a sudden furious as Kelli Saint and Veronica Taylor jump the barricade!
Astrid: Oh jesus flipping christ! What in the blue hell are these two doing here?
Catriona: I don’t foresee this ending well for any of them.
The referee is quick to call for the bell as Kelli Saint delivers a crushing right hand to the side of Jess Anderson's head, dropping her like a stone. Nicole Smoak quickly gets retribution on Kelli Saint by dropkicking her off the apron, and both McKenna and Alex of A&M surround Veronica before the three start to throw wild punches back and forth. Amid the chaos, Torres delivers the verdict.
Torres: This match has been ruled as a No Contest!
The bell rings through the arena repeatedly as the referee fails miserably to separate the three teams from tearing up the place. As Nicole gets down to check on Jessica who is still yet to move, Alex drags Saint back up and McKenna helps her send her crashing into Veronica who was trying to make a getaway up the ramp. A&M quickly look back to Nicole and the two teams nod to one another before A&M continues to chase Pretty Saints backstage.
Astrid: You know, I was starting to respect one of these two because of their in ring ability… I won’t say who… but that just went out the window.
Catriona: Honestly, Veronica is nothing but a coattail rider. If it wasn’t for Bianca… what would she have?
Astrid: Well hey… Nicole Smoak can at least say she didn’t lose.
SINGLES MATCH
Mark Storm vs. El Diablo Blanco
Mark Storm vs. El Diablo Blanco
The two exchange a friendly handshake as the bell rings before locking up in the center of the ring. The two have a pretty back and forth match with each taking control of the match at least once. At one point, Diablo has Mark in the corner, hitting him a series of 10 punches. He goes to hit a crossbody but Mark ducks and sends Diablo crashing into the corner. This allows Mark to take the momentum away from Diablo and wear him down until he’s able to hoist the backyard legend onto his shoulders and hit him with Incursio! (inverted gts).
Astrid: Well that’s got to hurt!
Catriona: I think that’s it for Diablo
Torres: Here is your winner… MARK STORM!
As the camera cut to backstage, the focus was solely on two dazzling bits of silverware, the hotly contested Splat Interstellar Gemini Championship belts, one with its neon blue plate and the other electric purple. The camera absorbed the majesty of modern wrestlings most sought after Tag Team Championships, the belts that were fought for by thirty two of the brightest, most talented teams in the sporting world. But only one team emerged from that grueling month-long tournament, one team standing above all others after sixteen full, harsh and hard hitting matches. And those two people, those two women, were here tonight to defend these very titles against the appointed Number One Contenders, the former 1WM Tag Team Champions, The Headhunters. As the camera lingered on the belts, one hand crept into view, fingernails painted in crimson and white halves, prancing along the beautiful metal work of the belts. As the camera panned up, the figure was revealed to be none other than Anastasia Starling, one half of the Interstellar Gemini Tag Team Champions. The Bird in Betsy and the Bird.
Anastasia Starling: Appearing somewhere new is always exciting. New company, new show, new crowds and new people. This whole journey we have gone on with the Splat Network, through the Gemini One right into Red Blood Cell, it’s brought us so many opportunities and so many fresh experiences. From arenas we have never competed in, fans we have never had the pleasure of competing in front of, opponents that we never thought we’d have the chance to face and foes so renowned that they could make you doubt everything you knew.
Seemingly wearing a Trapper Trooper hat, very reminiscent of the same one Frances McDormand wore in the movie, Fargo, Starling fired off a hot gaze with those heterochromia afflicted eyes of hers, the greens and blues piercing the camera.
Anastasia Starling: So now, we find ourselves here in the One Wrestle Movement, a company we haven’t had the pleasure of visiting before. Sure, we’re well aware of the high standard this company puts on with each of its broadcasts, entertaining fans across the nation. To be honest, I can’t personally recall the last time I was here in Fargo, so even the location is a bright, sparkling change for me. But as my eyes have danced around the locker room here, there is also a whole lot of familiarity.
Those cherry red lips of hers curled up into a mischievous looking smile, determination burning in the eyes of the angelic looking Songbird, her voice belting out a soothing hymn.
Anastasia Starling: I’ve seen Alex Reeves and McKena Hardy, names that are more linked with their more well known siblings, who I have both competed against and worked with. There’s Mark Storm who has done the rounds over the years. Nina Stokes? I’m very familiar with her from my days as the Phoenix Rebirth Champion. And, of course, there is Jessica Anderson… who seems to be in every bloody company in the world these days, hunting for tag team partners… But I have to say, I am pretty impressed with most of what I have seen here today. And everything I have watched of Glory and Legendary prior to coming here.
Her talons tapped again upon those championship belts, pride painted on her elfin features as she gazed upon the prizes of blue and purple, before she side glanced to the 1WM logo with a smile.
Anastasia Starling: But none of these names, however so familiar they are to us, are the ones we have come here to face at Glory 22. Oh no, you know exactly who we are here for… Tell ‘em, Betsy.
Appearing in frame for the first time is Betsy Granger, a swag bag labeled with One Wrestle Movements logo on the sides. As she passes the tag belts, she gives each one an affectionate tap before standing next to Ana and holding out the bag to her.
Betsy Granger: Check it out, I got us hooked up!
Ana gives Betsy a wary sideways glance before looking into the bag. Her dexterous fingers rummage through its contents before pulling out a ballcap heralding their opponents. Ana holds it out in front of her with two fingers, offering it to Betsy.
Betsy Granger: Oh, that?
The Impossible Traveler snatches it away from Ana and slips it back into the bag.
Betsy Granger: That’s a pity purchase, a little token of compensation for the hurting we’re going to put on them later. I figured it's the least we can do since we’re going to tear them apart in front of their fans on their own home turf.
She reaches behind Ana to give the belts another little tap.
Betsy Granger: Fact is, the brothers Calloway have made it rather obvious to us that they haven’t done their homework. Boys, fellas, guys, we’re going to need you to focus more on what’s going on outside of your safe space. You’ve mistaken my hobby of cosplay as some sort of attention grab… Okay, you might be right about that, but the ramp towards the ring isn’t our catwalk. We’re not coming here to show off whatever new ideas I came up with, though I do think you boys are going to enjoy what the ol’ noggin cooked up this time. But don’t let the flashy costumes and dangerous beauty distract you from the beasts that lurk beneath the surface.
She flashes a megawatt smile at Ana before giving the camera a roguish wink.
Betsy Granger: Take this lovely Songbird for instance. Anastasia Starling is the epitome of etiquette and grace, a shining example of what a true lady is. But don’t let that sparkling demeanor lead you astray; her talons are sharp and her grip is death. My Birdie is here for her prey and she won’t leave until she’s left nothing but bones and… more bones. Not a drop left behind, not even a nibble of flesh or a sip of blood for the vultures that are sure to follow.
Ana’s incredible eyes are alight as Betsy’s words bring a smile to her lips.
Betsy Granger: And as if Ana weren’t enough to deal with, you’ve got to watch your asses for me. I may not have a cool animal to associate with, like so many others… But I’ve got a mind that you couldn’t fathom. And a determination you couldn’t hope to match. Between my killer instincts and mean right hook, you’ll be plenty tenderized before Ana swoops in to finish you off. That’s if we haven’t sent you running back to your locker room, wondering how the hell you ended up so overwhelmed and over-powered in your own home.
Reaching into the bag, Betsy pulls The Headhunters hat back out and models it obnoxiously.
Betsy Granger: Take in the view, one and all, because this is the closest your homies are getting to the Splat Interstellar Gemini Tag Team Championship.
Anastasia Starling: Because after your admission that you, and I quote, “ain’t neva heard yall”... You clearly didn’t pay any attention to the tournament to crown the champions in the first place. Yanno, the biggest tag team tournament in the whole of wrestling this year, the grandest wrestling showcase that was put on by the very network that you compete on here in 1WM. The tourney to grant the belts that you claim you are so desperate for, that you are going to take from us? Imagine having zero interest in a tournament linked to your company's network, and claiming you’re going to take championships that you had no interest in prior.
Anastasia rested her elbow on Betsy’s shoulder, leaning into her as the Krakow born star and former SSWA and Phoenix Wrestling champion continued to sing her song.
Anastasia Starling: Nevermind the fact that we’ve been at the very top of this game before you could even fathom a tie up, winning championships across the globe. World level titles that you could only ever dream of, defeating the brightest of the bright and the baddest of the bad on the biggest stage and in the grandest companies… But ‘wrestling iz ah big fuckin’ place’, isn’t it? And your brains are clearly very small. You can’t even find the spell check, nevermind finding yourself a clue. You’re going to find yourself very lost in your own home.
The Songbird lolled her head to the side, Betsy letting out a confident laugh as Anastasia raised two fingers.
Anastasia Starling: We’re two birds, you’re getting stoned. So let me put it nice and straight for you, as we’re in Fargo right now… We’re Gaear, you’re Carl, and your chances are going in the woodchipper. Because these championships are here to stay with us. In wrestling, on Splat, through time and space and beyond. Because we’re here to represent a network that allowed us to make our dreams become reality, to make the impossible possibubbly possible. We’re soaring on in, then flying back out with these championships. And we’re taking them around the world, and out of this world, and everywhere else in between. The journey is only just beginning for Betsy and the Bird… And as for the Headhunters? How are you going to hunt after we kick your heads off?
Betsy put an arm around her long time friend and tag partner as they picked up their respective titles, clanging them together in a toast, before the camera view faded away. The championship match was looming… and the champions were ready.
Splat! Interstellar Gemini Championship Match

The Headhunters (Dexter and Eric Calloway) vs. Grange and Starling ©
Rules for the match are announced. No disqualifications. No count outs. Pinfall must happen inside the ring. Ring introductions are announced, and the referee reinforces the rules to both teams before he calls for the bell and immediately, the Headhunters pounce as Eric kicks Starling right in the side of the head, sending her down to the mat and Dexter grabs Granger and throws her into the corner and charges in for a corner splash. Eric quickly pulls up Starling and hoists her high, taking a lap around the ring before dropping her hard with a powerbomb slam onto the mat. He scoots in close as the referee drops and counts.

Thr----Starling lifts a shoulder off the mat as the fans go crazy for the close near-fall right at the start of the match.
Skylar Rayner: We haven’t even got in a word edge-wise here as the Headhunters have nearly won the Interstellar Gemini Championship within the first few moments of this match. I’m Skylar Rayner and joining me is Jazmin Davis.
Jazmin Davis: Introductions are going to have to wait as the Headhunters mean business here.
Dexter dumps Betsy to the outside as Eric grabs Starling by the hair, pulling her to her feet and whipping her into the ropes, hitting her with a knee to the midsection when she rebounds. Body slam by Eric as he moves to the second turnbuckle and leaps off with a fist drop, but Starling rolls out of the way.
Eric shakes his hand, having hit it on the mat but as he gets to his feet, he’s clocked hard with a drop kick off the ropes from Granger, who’s entered the ring. She hits the ropes again and nails Eric with a second dropkick, this time right in the side of the face, sending him down to a knee.
A third dropkick finally knocks Eric down to the mat, but he gets back to a knee, only to get hit with a fourth, fifth and sixth dropkick from Betsy Granger. Granger climbs to the second turnbuckle and as Eric gets to his feet, she leaps off with a final dropkick, dropping him to the mat.
Granger scoops him up and slams him down on the mat. She quickly scales to the top turnbuckle and flies off with a moonsault, but Eric has moved out of the way as Granger splashes down on the mat.
Starling jumps in and lifts up Eric for a vertical suplex as Granger again goes to the top turnbuckle and as Eric hits the mat, Starling rolls out of the way and Granger hits him with a moonsault this time.

Dexter runs in and stomps on Granger’s back to stop the pinfall.
Jazmin Davis: We have been told that for this match, regular tag team rules are in effect. While there’s no disqualifications, if the match gets out of control, the referee can call a stoppage. While no tags are necessary, only two members can be in the ring at one time.
Granger whips Eric towards the ropes, but Eric reverses it. Granger rebounds and Eric looks to be going for a backdrop, but Granger just hops on his back, grabs both of his arms and applies a weird looking stretch.
Jazmin Davis: That submission was more out of convenience. I’m not even sure what you call that? Double-arm straddle submission?
Skylar Rayner: I don’t even know, but it looks like it hurts.
The referee is asking Eric for a submission, but he refuses. He tries to flip over, but only ends up in the stretch upside down instead. Eric is still shaking his head that he refuses to submit and Betsy finally releases the hold. As they get to their feet, Betsy nails Eric hard in the back with an elbow, but Eric quickly spins around, sweeping Betsy’s feet from under her, sending her face first to the mat. He grabs a leg, but Betsy immediately grabs the bottom rope. The referee counts, and Eric gets up and kick punts Granger in the head. He grabs a handful of hair, snap mares her over and tags in Dexter. Dexter sends her to the ropes, boots her in the stomach and drops her headfirst with a DDT.

Kickout by Betsy Granger.
Dexter grabs her around the head and quickly slaps on an inverted headlock stretch.
Skylar Rayner: This submission move is locked in and the referee is right there asking Granger if she wants to submit.
After a minute or so, Dexter releases the hold, but grabs Granger by the hair and slams her headfirst down onto the mat before straddling her back and locking in a vicious camel clutch.
Jazmin Davis: I feel like the Headhunters are trying to win this by submission. I know they wanted to be in the GeminiOne, but the field filled up before they were able to get on board, so I think this is them making a statement. What’s this?
Eric comes into the ring and takes the ropes, bouncing back and just kicking Betsy Granger right in the face. Dexter pulls her back up into the camel clutch as the referee motions for Eric to get out of the ring. Dexter finally releases the hold, pulls up Granger and just drops her with a vertical suplex. He reaches over and tags him Eric, who scoops up Betsy, drops her with a body slam and then drops a heavy elbow across her chest. Cover, but Betsy bridges out of the pinfall attempt. Eric grabs her by the head and slams it hard against the mat before tagging Dexter back into the match. Dexter climbs to the top as Eric gets Betsy on his shoulders. Dexter flies off with a clothesline, taking Betsy hard to the mat. Dexter leaps over for a cover.

Thre---kickout by Betsy.
Dexter sends Granger into the ropes, he tries to lift her into the air, but Betsy adjusts mid-air and dropkicks Dexter. She somersaults over and tags in Starling who charges into the ring. She whips Dexter into the ropes and then together, Starling and Granger, use a double shoulder tackle to send the Headhunter back to the mat. Granger grabs Dexter in a bit of payback, holding him up as Starling hauls back and kicks him hard in the chest.
Granger exits the ring as Starling sends Dexter into the ropes and connects with a dropkick to the face. Snap suplex by Starling, followed by a strong kick to the back. She brings Dexter up and then nails him hard with a Spinning Bird Kick, sending him back to the mat. As Dexter gets to his knees, she drives an elbow to his skull and then kicks him in the face, however, Dexter ends up in his corner and Eric tags himself in.
Eric pushes her hard into the corner and begins a series of stomps, that force her down into the corner. Out of desperation, she grabs onto his leg and holds tightly to his, but he kicks himself free and then punts her hard in the head as the crowd boos at the sounds.
Jazmin Davis: Those kicks. You can hear them even above this crowd.
Starling goes limp in the corner and the referee moves in to check on her as the Headhunters demand that the match be stopped, but Starling reaches up and grabs the rope, pulling herself up, though clearly, she’s been knocked silly by that last kick.
As she gets to her feet, Eric moves in for a kick to the chest, but she catches his leg and then clocks him with a forearm, dropping him to a knee and then she returns the favor by punting him right in the head, followed by a spinning kick to the back of the head.
Skylar Rayner: These two teams are just kicking the heck of out each other!
She whips him into the ropes and connects with a big boot to the face, putting him back on the mat. Starling drags him over and tags in Granger, who climbs the turnbuckle and as Starling holds Eric, Granger nails a flying shoulderblock.
However, that sends Eric back to his corner and Dexter tags himself in, only Granger crashes into him as he tries to get into the ring. Granger whips Dexter into the ropes but as Dexter comes off, he lariat’s Granger. Granger gets to her feet only to be taken down by a second lariat and then a third. Dexter covers, but only gets a two count.
Dexter pulls her up, shooting her to the ropes but she flies back with a crossbody block. Dexter tags in Eric as Granger tags in Starling. Eric and Starling charge each other, but Eric gets a boot up, kicking Starling right in the face. He quickly scoops her up and drops her hard with a piledriver.

Granger rushes in and dropkicks Dexter in the back of the head, sending him out of the ring. This brings in Eric who grabs Granger from behind, lifts her up and back suplexes her onto her head.
Eric runs the ropes and does a dive between the second and third rope, taking out Starling who was just getting to her feet. He slides back in the ring and pulls up Granger by the hair, scoops her up and slams her down. The brother team each scale the turnbuckle and leap off with dual diving headbutts onto Granger.

Eric whips her into the ropes, but from behind, Starling nails him with a spinning kick, sending him to the mat while Granger leaps up and over the rope, crashing down on Dexter on the outside.
Skylar Rayner: I’m trying to keep up with the action, but this match has gone non-stop for nearly thirty minutes now!
Granger rolls Dexter into the ring and Starling and Granger shoot him into the ropes, catching him with a double side slam. Madoka Kawada: The winners of the match and still Splat Interstellar Gemini Champions, Betsy Granger and Anastasia Starling!
Skylar Rayner: That was a hard hitting, fast paced match from start to finish!
Jazmin Davis: I’m still trying to catch my breath! The Headhunters came for it, and I was certain they were going to walk away with it, but Granger and Starling prove themselves once more.
Skylar Rayner: I’m excited to see where the champions end up next, but for now, they remain the champions! For Jazmin Davis and everyone at
Splat, we want to thank One Wrestle for allowing us to be here! The main event of the show is still to come so don’t you go anywhere!
The camera’s cut to the backstage area where Mickey Greer is standing by, microphone in hand. There’s no one with him but he seems like he’s waiting eagerly for someone. As if on cue Patti Rose turns the corner and comes into shot, as an eruption of cheers can be heard in the distance from fans watching the screen.
Mickey Greer: Patti, a minute of your time?
Patti Rose: Sure, no problem.
Mickey Greer: Last time out you were unsuccessful in the quest to become Glory champion..
Her eyes narrowed.
Mickey Greer: ..and dethrone ‘The Mean Machine’ Jay Aguero.
Patti Rose: True, yes. But it was never about the title, I said that from day one. All I wanted was a shot at Aguero.
Mickey Greer: But the manner of the defeat, a disqualification due to outside interference from Silas Jessup, the man you’re teaming with tonight. Not how you pictured it going I presume?
Patti Rose: Of course it ain’t the outcome I wanted. I went out there to bury him, to hurt his pride and his ego. I went out there to prove he could be beaten, because he can be beaten.
Mickey Greer: So the disqualification doesn’t bother you?
Patti Rose: I never said it did.
Mickey Greer: Do you think, if Silas hadn’t interfered, you might have gone to win the match?
Patti Rose: Look you’re trying to make this something it isn’t. I have nothing but respect for Silas Jessup. Even more so after Glory. If it weren’t for him I might not be stood here now, I might not be in the same corner of the ring with him tonight. But together we’ll take down Aguero, and someone soon enough will wrestle that title away from him too. That might not be me, it may or may not even be Silas, but it’s coming.
Mickey Greer: You say it’s not about the belt, so why does it mean so much to beat Jay Aguero?
Patti Rose: Because of what he represents, that’s why. Jay Aguero doesn’t care about the sport, or the fans that pay his wages. He respects no one. And let’s be real, this is professional wrestling. We’re in a barbaric industry, and we are actively promoting violence. But it’s regulated violence, it’s combat sport, and there’s a craft to it, whether it’s a tag team match, a ladder match or a Texas Deatchmatch.. there’s a craft to all of it. The goal should be to go out there and be the best at what you are, to be better than your opponent. Some of us are quick and agile, some are big and strong, some are resilient, tough as nails.. others will tie you in knots and a thousand holds and some of us are old and slow but a little bit of everything in between. Whatever you are or aren’t is irrelevant because we test one another in a hundred different ways. That’s the beauty of this sport. Then there’s Jay Aguero. A man that doesn’t adhere to any of these principles, a man that only wants to hurt and humiliate those before him. He sees that belt as validity for his actions, he thinks it brings respect and recognition, but many folks have held titles and few leave a lasting legacy.
Mickey Greer: And what about..
She raised her hand to his face.
Patti Rose: I ain’t finished here. There are young men and women interacting with this product. They look to us for inspiration and interpret what goes on for their own experiences. They see his reign and think the flat track bully is king.. they think he.. or she.. is the only person that’s gonna make it in this world. But I’m here to show them that ain’t true. Many of them will see no path to success because they’re not represented, they see no one that looks like them, or talks like them or more importantly, acts like them! That’s why I still wrestle, that’s why I want to see his reign come to an end. I couldn’t do that at Glory, but I can still put that right tonight. I don’t know Silas, but he seems like a man with a good moral compass, so I’ll do right by him and he’ll do right by me to get the win.
Mickey Greer: And have you got a message for Aguero's partner, Q?
Patti Rose: I don’t know who that is, sorry.
Poker-faced, she walked off before he could ask any further questions.

TAG TEAM MATCH
Silas Jessup and Patti Rose vs. “Ya Girl” Q and “Mean Machine” Jay Aguero
Torres: The following is the GLORY TWENTY-TWO MAIN EVENT scheduled for ONE FALL with a FIFTEEN MINUTE time limit!!
”The Beginning is The End is The Beginning” by Smashing Pumpkins plays as Silas Jessup makes his way out to the entranceway stage. Seconds later ”The Warrior” by Scandal blares as Patti Rose makes her way out from the back. The two wrestlers bump fists, nod to one another, and make their way down to the ring.
“Believer” by Imagine Dragons plays as Q makes her way out to the entranceway stage. “As I Am” by Dream Theater plays and the brother-in-law of Q and current Glory Champion, Jay Aguero, comes from backstage. The crowd showers the duo with boos as they make their way down to the ring.
Astrid: Well this is… going to be an interesting match. That’s about all I have to say that is nice.
Catriona: You know… you don’t have to be nice… or hold yourself from cussing. We’ve got the funds to pay the fines.
Astrid: I really want to take a pair of clippers to that redneck bitch’s hair and burn her clothes. I’m highly offended just looking at her.
The match starts off with Jay Aguero against Silas Jessup. Lock up in the middle and Aguero shows off his might, easily able to draw Jessup into a headlock. Jessup powers out when Jay goes for the takedown and shoots Aguero to the ropes. Aguero bounces back with a huge shoulder block, taking Jessup down hard. Aguero wraps his hands around the skull of Jessup and drags him to his feet then tries to beal toss him but Silas stands firm, hooks the arm and draws Aguero into a superkick. Jessup tries to haul Aguero back up but the sheer mass is too much, giving Jay the chance to power free and launch Jessup with a high impact two handed choke bomb! Q is now calling for the tag, and Aguero makes sure she gets it.
Q wastes no time running in for a knee straight to the head on Silas. The crowd lets her have it as she lays in with the stomps. Q goes for a standing splash, but Silas rolls out of the way. Both back to their feet and Q launches at Silas with a clothesline, but Silas gets the crowd on his side as he ducks under and launches Q with a sweet German suplex, before he crawls over to the corner and gets the hot tag to Patti.
Patti takes Q down with a clothesline, and then Aguero with a flying forearm smash as he runs in to intervene. A standing dropkick to Q, and Patti lands a running moonsault for a pin attempt!
One…
Two…Jay gets a boo from the crowd when he grabs Q's legs and drags her out to ringside!
Astrid: I’ve never really been a huge fan of Q… or Jay… but I do like the fact that they have been showing Patti what’s what.
Catriona: Much like you want to do to someone else.
Astrid: Mhm… exactly. I see the cowardly bitch didn’t even have the gaul to show up again.
Catriona: Didn’t you see what she posted on Twitter. She claimed they wouldn’t let her into the arena.
Astrid: Yeah OK. I’d sooner believe a criminal proclaiming their innocence rather than anything that comes out of her mouth.
Brother and sister in law seem to quickly huddle and strategize as the fans BOO around them, but the fans cheer up as Patti Rose takes a run up, leaps and flies onto the two on the outside with an Asai moonsault! As the three begin to stir, the referee gets to a count of five before Patti gets to her feet and manages to slide into the ring, and she is quickly followed by Q who tries for a sneaky roll up pin, yet Patti telegraphs it and uses her own momentum to roll on top
One…
Two…
TH…Q manages to break out just in time!
Patti can see Silas over in the corner calling for the tag, and she nods to him as she uses the ropes to stand---Jay suddenly pulls up a steel chair from under the ring and smashes it into the back of Patti's head! The referee doesn't waste a split second calling for the bell as Q high tails it out of the ring, and Silas angrily climbs into the ring and takes chase.
Astrid: What the actual fuck is going on here?!
Catriona: This is offensive to the fans. I wonder if Josh knows about this plan.
Torres: The winners of this contest, via disqualification, PATTI ROSE and SILAS JESSUP!
There is another loud, metallic smash sound as Jay Aguero swings the chair again but gets nothing but ropes as Silas ducks and the two start to brawl wildly in the entrance way. Q, meanwhile, looking satisfied with her efforts, is almost at the top of the ramp. Finally, coming to and seeing what is going on, here comes Patti! She is making a beeline for Q, right as Jay manages to shove Silas out of the way..and Patti runs right into THE PERFECT DRIVER RIGHT ON THE RAMP!
Astrid: YES! I LOVE IT! Brutality at it’s finest!
Catriona: Oh Patti just can’t seem to catch a break now can she?
Q takes her opportunity to run down when Silas isn't looking and take him down with a clubbing blow, before she wraps her arms around his waist. Q'S LAMENT ON THE RAMP!
As the show closes out, Jay Aguero and Q are standing over Silas and Patti, laughing and gloating.
Astrid: That was certainly an interesting way to end the show. Shitty… but interesting nonetheless.
Catriona: That’s all we have for you this evening ladies and gentleman! Have a good night
