Bio
Growing up in South Africa, Alexus Meyer watched an array of different sports during her formative years, including wrestling. Her first love, however, was rugby union, and while at school in Cape Town, she joined a local girls team, for whom she played as a lock/second row. At the encouragement of her father, himself a former bodybuilder, she subsequently started lifting weights, in order to enhance her performance on the field. Ultimately though, she ended up falling in love with bodybuilding, so much so that she would go on to leave rugby behind, with the goal of following in her father’s footsteps.
In the summer of 2015, Alexus moved to the United States, both to attend university there and to pursue her dream career, as she combined her studying with intense training in the gym. Towards the end of her freshman year, she took part in her first amateur bodybuilding competition, with further competitions then following over the course of the next three years, as she worked towards her goal of eventually earning a pro card. However, after a competition during her senior year in which she placed last, a result that came as a definite shock to Alexus, she suddenly found herself questioning her future in the sport.
After graduating from university in 2019, and having become somewhat disillusioned with bodybuilding, Alexus began to consider her options, which then led her back to a sport that she had watched on TV as a child: wrestling. Although she had been a fan when she was younger, she had never seriously contemplated a career as a pro wrestler before, but now she saw it as a way to potentially make use of the powerful physique that she had developed, and so she found a local wrestling school, to commence her training.
The impact of the COVID‑19 pandemic resulted in a delay to the start of her career, but eventually, in September 2020, Alexus debuted in the Los Angeles based Valiant Wrestling, where she would go on to win both the Mayhem Championship and the Chaos Championship, as well as becoming one half of the Anarchy Tag Champions, in the process making her the promotion's only double champion, before then being forced to take a hiatus in June 2022, due to personal issues. By the time that she was ready to return to competition though, Valiant had closed its doors, only serving to lengthen her absence from the ring, but now, after a year of inactivity, Alexus finds herself in One Wrestle Movement, at the behest of Salem Cartier.
