The camera cuts in on the view of a forest, dense and full of life in the form of thick bushes and leaves on the trees. Birds can be heard chattering away and the occasional one can be seen briefly, flying by. The man who walks through this place, causing fallen twigs and dead leaves to crunch underfoot makes for a strange image. He is decked out in his usual biker/metalhead clothing here. Dark jeans, black boots, t-shirt, even a cut, on the back of which is emblazoned with an image of the grim reaper, holding two pistols, pointed at 5he viewer. He's also wearing a black and white bandana, folded into a headband. A complete juxtaposition between urban and rural. He sticks out like a sore thumb. But he isn't here to go unnoticed. He's just... here.
Facing the camera, Raze looks content here, like all has fallen into place, but there's a glint in his eyes. The look that says something has changed in him.
"So..."
He takes a deep breath, exhaling hard as he takes things in.
"So, like I said yesterday, I felt something. That old fire. The type that only burns for a sport like ours. I didn't come back without any passion for this, but I did come back a little too calmly. The rust, I think, dulled the flame. But, with that pesky rust knocked off, here it comes. I missed this feeling, but it's a little different this time.
The camera follows him as he walks farther along. Whether he's walking deeper into the forest or out of it is impossible to discern.
"In the past, when the fire rose up in me, it never came alone; it was always accompanied by the devil in me, and the destruction it wrought when I lost control. Now? Well, now I have more control over it than ever before."
He stops for a moment, looks down at himself as he ponders what he has just said. When he is done, he looks at the camera and a half smile creeps across his lips.
"So now, I get to burn hot, possibly in a way I've never done before. Time to get to work"
The newly invigorated Raze continues his walk through the trees as the scene ends.
