Camp Silverback and One Wrestle Movement Presents...
"Do you know what really pisses me off?"
The 1WM logo fades in and out. Fading in from a blank screen, Cory Chevelle is standing inside the sparring ring at Camp Silverback, back in Missouri. The sweat dripping from his brows and forehead suggest another day of hard work put in. He takes the towel around his neck and wipes his face off, then catches a bottle of water thrown to him by a crew member. Chevelle takes a drink, moving in toward the ropes which he soon leans into as he stares into the camera...
"The current state of this sport, it use to represent the true might of a man. Now it's become all about feelings and drama. It's not about wrestling. It's about who you're dating, or what kind of character you portray. It's about heroes and villains, God's and monsters..."
He now moves away from the ropes, slowly pacing from side to side with a grin on his face.
"Take all of that away, and you'll find Vulgar Display of Power."
"You don't have to like us. You can cheer, you can boo, but I guarantee you won't sit there in silence. People wanna bitch and moan about Legendary 46, but before ya do, I ask you.. what did we do that was so horrible? Was it because Bia and I went to war all through the building and ruined the lasagna? Was it the fact Braddock and I weren't satisfied from our matches so we continued going out looking for a better fight? Or was it because we didn't just end the main event with a bang and an exclamation, but we in fact- two new guys..."
"Stole the entire show!"
Chevelle stops pacing and lowers his head momentarily, chuckling under his breath. He then exits the ring and leaves the water and towel on the side of the apron before turning back and looking into the camera once more..
"We took initiative. Sorry to the rest of you that didn't. Actually no, no I'm not. Because since my arrival here at One Wrestle, I've noticed a lot of egos. Massive ones too, Jesus Christ! Egos that have been allowed to go unchecked for a wee bit too long. But it's okay for them because they either have a championship or they're involved behind the scenes."
Chevelle shakes his head..
"Funny thing about me and Braddock is.. we don't play politics."
Making his way over to a weight bench, Chevelle takes a seat.
"Let me make this clear. I don't recognize Aleki as the god of war or anything remotely divine. I don't recognize Ricky Stanton as the summit in this company. And I don't give a shit about Sam Tolson or Q, or how many days she's reigned as champion. I don't care what past beefs fueled the rivalry of these individuals and the conglomerate. My loyalty resides with my brother in arms, my partner, Braddock. And we're not here to be heroes or Gods or any of that fantasy realm bullshit your narratives seem so fond of pushing."
"We're here to hurt some sonsabitches and clock out. We're here to not just take, but steal the main event and all any of you hold so holy."
"You can't reason with us. You can't control us. You can't own us and as many of you will learn the hard way; you can't defeat us! There's no keeping us down, there's no making us go away and no matter how many times your heroes will rise to the occasion to stop us, and shut us down!"
"They will fail."
"Guys like Ricky Stanton, the Samson family... You've had your time. So I hope for your sakes you made it a good one. What was it he said about us? Some nobody's that'll never reach you? We already did. And we raised you up and dropped you on your head and watched as you went limp and couldn't get yourself up. Aleki, Mr. God of war- Looked pretty god damn human to me when the steel met his head and wrapped over it. All your boasting and talk of redemption, it'll be for nothing. You boys have bought too much into your own illusions that you sit on top of the mountain untouchable. That's where Vulgar Display of Power comes in with the reality check of a lifetime."
"If I have to drag our team or carry my own partner on my back, we're going to steal this show just as we did the prior Legendary."
"And remember, no one's safe in war."
He lays back under the bar and continues working out as the scene slowly fades to black.
